Media & Munch Club (Session 2: Small Bites and Soundbytes)

Let’s talk about what we consume! Join us for snacks & chats on media that portray AAPI+MENA people and stories!
In this second session, we’ll be exploring clips of podcasts created by the AAPI+MENA community. We hope to discuss these following themes (not set in stone yet): identity, anti-Asian hate, the Filipino American diaspora, and Indigenous politics in Hawaii in intersection with environmental justice.

AACC Movie Night

Come watch the Wedding Banquet dir. Ang Lee (1993), a romcom that touches on family, queer love, trans-Pacific cultural encounters, and more!
Location can be found on Yale Connect registration page.

Life After Yale: Staying Connected with the Yale Asian Community

Join us for a meet and greet with Yale alumni who have continued to stay connected and engaged with the Yale Asian and Asian American community after graduation. Come chat with them about their life, time at Yale, career trajectory, and their experience with the Association of Asian American Yale Alumni (AAAYA) as well as the Yale Asian community post-graduation.
Dinner will be provided! Location can be found on the Yale Connect registration page.

PLs x Yale Farm Collaboration

Join AfAm House, La Casa, AACC, and NACC in an afternoon together at the Yale Farm! Meet folks from other cultural centers as you make toasted cheesy breads that we’ll bake on-site inside the Yale Farm pizza oven and pair with Farm-made tomato soup (vegan and GF options will be available!). You’ll also have a chance to learn more about Yale Sustainable Food Program with tours of the Farm running throughout the event. Though our warm soup will help fend off the cold, please dress for the weather.

Intercultural Spirit Stories Night

Come join us in telling cultural ghost stories, sharing our spirit beliefs and/or cultural folklore! The cultural centers will be sharing stories, including Javanese ghost folklore and traditional Mexican folktales on La Llorona and El Cucuy. There will also be time to share your own stories! This event also includes trick-or-treating of cultural snacks! This intercultural event is open to members of all cultural houses, including graduate students.
Location can be found via registration link.

Senior Stories: Annelise Ratner and Ryan Zhou

Join us for our AACC Senior Stories series! We’ll get to know each other in a more intimate setting, cherish the diversity of experiences in our community, and of course, celebrate our seniors.
Annelise and Ryan’s senior stories will take place on Friday, November 11th from 5-6 pm. There’ll be yummy Asian snacks :)
Please sign up by Thursday, November 10th at 11:59 pm to attend. Location can be found via registration page.
